Exemplars Math in homework
In homework packet 13 and forward we will be doing one Exemplars Math word problem a week. Try to show at least two ways how you figured out the answer. Here is an example our class worked on together, with four different ways.

Visit from the SCC Water District
On Thursday, we had a visit from the Santa Clara County Water District. We learned about water in all of it's forms (Gas, solid, liquid) and how to conserve it.

Shake Those Disks!
Students worked with partners in a math game. The object is to take turns, gently tossing 6 counters and recording the Number Bonds. We will play more as the year continues with the Whole Part (biggest number) increases.
