Week of February 13, 2017

On Tuesday, we will be passing out Valentine Cards and working on Candy Math.  I sent home a class list last week and I will also attach a copy, just in case.  If you do make Valentines, please make sure you bring one to each child, so we don’t have any broken hearts.

The students have been learning about Google Drive and Google Docs.  Today, with the help of our buddies we made a little penguin and worked on a story map.  After buddies, we used Google Docs and typed up our Penguin Stories.  The class was excited about it and wanted to share them with our families.  Here’s are some slides of their work.

Week of February 6, 2017

I enjoyed seeing all of the One Hundred Day Posters.  It was fun to see all the creative ways the students decorated them.  I will send home their 100 words spelling test next week.  They deserve big hugs for all their efforts!  :)

We will have Art Vistas on Thursday from 10:50-11:50.  Please let me know if you’d like to help.

Moving forward in the homework packets, we have added Spelling Sentences.  I would like each student to write 5 sentences, trying to use two of their spelling words from the list.  I know some spelling lists are harder to incorporate all of the words.  We had fun today writing them together in class.
