Week of March 27, 2017

We had two great enrichment lessons this week. Thank you to Mrs. Kasenchak and Mrs. Dupree for our Cornerstone lesson on dreams and goals. Thank you to Mrs. Pienaar, Mrs. Wong, and Mrs. Gelonese for our Art Vistas lesson on color value.

On Tuesday, we are going on our field trip to see the play, The Ugly Duckling.   Please make sure your child wears their class t-shirt to school.  We will be back in time for lunch at school.

Our class started to work on our class play based on the story, The Great Kapok Tree.  We will perform for you on Friday, April 28th at 8:30am in the cafeteria.  I hope you can join us!

After Spring Break, we are going to YSI/Vasona Park for a Field Trip.  Our class is separated on two different days: Tuesday, 4/11 and Thursday, 4/13.  The time commitment is from 9:00-1:15. Currently these are our chaperones for the trip, we do have space for more (especially Thursday), please let me know if you would like to come with us.

Thursday, 4/13: Jamie Pregliasco and I would love to have one or two more parents.

Week of March 13, 2017

It has been nice meeting with many of you these last couple days. I look forward to our conferences this is week. We will continue with 1:15 dismissal through Friday, March 17.

We will be going on a field trip to Vasona Park for a YSI Science Presentation on Physics of Sound and Motion. We will be dividing our class on two days: Tuesday, April 11th OR Thursday, April 13th. Please let me know if you’re interested in being a chaperone with us on one of those days.

The Book Fair is here and it’s open through Wednesday, March 14th. Students can visit it during lunch if they bring money.

Dear Families,

What a wonderful performance last Tuesday evening!  I can tell our Bears were excited to be at school in the evening!  They knew it was special. :) Thank you for your support!

Spring Pictures are this Friday, March 10, 2016!  You do not need to prepay for Spring Pictures, the company will send home proofs, if you wish to purchase.  There was a form that went home with different picture backgrounds to choose from, if you have that, please send it in.  I have a few extra copies in the classroom.
