Hello Parents,
All of the first-grade classes read the story, Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. The story is about a boy named Stanley who gets flattened “like a pancake” by a bulletin board. In the story, Stanley gets mailed to California to visit a friend. We are taking on this project! We are mailing Flat Stanley out to friends and relatives.
Yesterday, we finished our letters and students brought home Stanley, his suitcase (optional), an envelope, and letters to you (parents) and recipients. Can you help your child pick someone to mail Stanley to? Locations far and near are a great learning experience for all. If you and your child cannot decide on a recipient, Stanley may tag-along to any adventures with your family over Spring Break.
Students will need to write their recipients' name on their handwritten letter. They will also need your help to write your home address on the typed letter to the recipient (Blue Paper).
Thank you for your support and help with this project!
