Dear Families,
It has been nice meeting with you for our conferences. We will continue conferences and early dismissal time at 1:15 through Thursday. Here is our conference schedule.
On Tuesday (Tomorrow), 11/13, we will be walking to Union Middle School at 9:30 and then walking back a little before 12:00. Please make sure your child has their class t-shirt and comfortable shoes. We will get back to school for our regular lunch recess. If you would like to join us, please let me know.
On Friday after lunch, 11/16, we will have a sub, Mrs. Threet. I will be attending my daughter's Thanksgiving Feast. :)
We have a special Grandparent (Or older person) Interview Project due after Thanksgiving break. I will also attach a copy of the interview questions.
Save the date! Our First Grade Holiday Sing will be on Monday, December 10th at 2:00 pm. We will sing holiday songs for our families!

What We’re Doing in Class this Week:
Language Arts: Sequence of a story, writing a friendly letter. Continuing to review short vowel “i” in Phonics. We are also working with nouns (common, proper, and possessive), verbs (present, past, and future), and adjectives.
Math: We are finishing up with Module 1 this week in our Eureka Math curriculum. This module sets the foundation for students to master sums and differences to 10. We will start Module 2 when we return from Thanksgiving break. Module 2 incorporates place value through addition and subtraction within 20.
Writing: Continuing to work on personal narratives and learning about informative writing this trimester.
Social Studies: Past Traditions
Technology: Seesaw, Lexia, RazKids, Reflex Math
Sharing Assignment: Something that reminds you of Thanksgiving.
